“Since abstract art first made its appearance in the twentieth century, artists have continued to paint pure abstract compositions. However, in the last, at least, twenty years, artists have employed the computer and digital images as part of their process of discovery and execution. The role of the pixel in the making and recording of images is now as ubiquitous as the palette, tube of paint and brush. The works in this exhibition will demonstrate this.”- Mark Ormond, Curator of Exhibitions, Ringling College Galleries
